Ballad of the Moon

Just something I've been itching to do for the past couple of months. After hearing Two Steps from Hell's Sun and Moon, all I could picture was Princess Luna flying/floating about in space with her mane and tail bleeding and blending into the atmosphere.

I "painted" the background, her mane, and tail with glitter! As much as I hate using glitter (mostly because it has the knack of sticking around hours after use B| ) it worked better than I originally thought. o.o It was a blast too! Despite the anatomy being a bit wonky, I don't really mind. :3

I'm definitely doing this again for Celestia. To be honest, though, this photo doesn't really do the actual painting justice. The painting glints and glows when in sunlight or underneath light, kinda mimicking the stars a bit. AND some of the colors are muted or brightened when they shouldn't be. Needless to say, it looks WAAAAY better in person (to be fair, I took the picture with a crappy camera, so I need a much better camera for a higher quality photo. o3o).
