Ascension

So for Bronycon I basically planned out a couple of medium and large prints and, for the small prints, pretty much winged them. The small ones are mostly for fun so they aren't as fleshed out as they could be, but still, I want them to be interesting and give the folks a variety to choose from. :3

This one is of Twilight Sparkle, quite possibly my favorite character of the MLP franchise. I just... I fuckin' love Twilight, man. Her color scheme, her voice (TARA STRONG SOFDOFAFIHASIOADASFS) her personality, the character development she went through, all of it. So yeah. If I HAD to choose a favorite pony (it's so hard to choose man ;_; ) it'd more than likely would be Twilight. o3o

ANYWAY, this image. This is based on Season 3's finale, where Twilight was ascended into an alicorn. While I don't think the ascension would be painful I do think it'd probably have a profound impact on whomever is being ascended, specifically because it basically forces them to grow wings/a horn/both and forcefully expands their magical font (the magic font is basically what determines how much magic a pony has and how powerful they are). So yeah, it isn't necessarily painful, but that doesn't mean it's pleasurable either. I'd assume receiving such a sudden influx of magic would more than likely send the pony into a temporary shocked and lethargic state, but with Twilight being accostomed to having huge amounts of magic (her font was always larger than normal) as well as being the living embodiment of Magic, her ascension quite possibly gave her a huge shock but the effects didn't last as long as it would for anyone else.

I had so much fun painting this; it was done using watercolors and white acrylic paint. I finished it in.... I think... 2 hours? I can't remember. :/
