UPDATE 2/17/15:

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. Thank you so much for all of you who have shown interest and submitted an application; I really appreciate it. And man, there's a huge amount of talent I'm facing; narrowing the list down to a few artists is going to be pretty hard, I can already tell. o.o

I will be posting a separate journal soon when I choose the possible candidates for the collab, and I will be noting them with additional information on how to continue from there with a color test. So all of you keep an eye out!

UPDATE 2/11/15:
Oh man, there's so many talented folks replying to this! This is gonna be a hard choice. :/ I'm updating this though because of two things:
1.) Sorry for the lateness in my replying, guys! I'm currently having midterms so I've been focusing more on getting those out of the way, so I haven't had the time I wanted to respond to all of you. I'll be getting right on that though so just keep an eye out. :3

2.) Some of you who are interested are traditional artists and after talking to some of you, I've decided to go ahead and open this up to traditional artists as well. I've added new info below so be sure to read it. I initially didn't have traditional artist here because it may be a little more expensive to collaborate, as in me drawing then mailing the lineart to you, you color and mail it back, then I add some more color (if its that sort of collab), get it scanned in, then make prints out of it. Alternatively, I can draw the lines, scan and upload them, then the collab partner prints it off and colors it on the paper desired. Either way. o3o But yeah. :3

Alright, so with March pretty close I think now's as good as a time as any for me to post this badboy up.

Just like I did last year, I am now currently looking for collab partners. Last year I had 2 partners, and this year I think I'll go with two or three different folks as partners. But either way, for the collab partnership, I draw the lineart and the chosen partner colors said lineart digitally. Because of this, you must be comfortable working on a traditionally drawn sketch with the digital media you use primarily. The general ideas of what we will work on will be discussed between the both of us, but I prefer working with just the canon characters in this case specifically because these collabs are meant to be made into prints we both can sell online and at the Cons we go to.

The general number of prints each partner and I work on will be either one print, or two prints. This is because I don't want to overload anyone with a large amount of work, and as well as give you more than enough time to work on the collab at your preferred pace. It's also because I don't want anyone to drop whatever they're doing for the purpose of the collab; while the end result is to sell the collaborative print, the primary thing I want you to have is fun with these collabs. As such, I'd much rather both of us brainstorming for a collab because I want you to have equal say in this. It's a partnership for a reason. o3o

So with that said, here are the important stuffs:

PAYMENT:

The payment we make off of our work will be split even, 50/50. No more explanation needed I think. o:

REQUIREMENTS:

-You must be able to work with a background, with lineart guidance and without. Some lineart I draw the background in, and some I don't; which I go with depends entirely on the subject of the linework and how we both decide to tackle it. I'm also completely for artistic liberty, so if you want free reign on the background then I will leave it blank.

-YOU MUST COLOR THE EYEBROWS AND EYELASHES OF THE CHARACTER (if they have eyebrows/eyelashes) THE SAME COLOR AS THEIR HAIR. A huge petpeeve of mine is when I do a collaboration with someone and they completely ignore the fact that the eyebrows are drawn. Please don't do that. :/

-You must be comfortable with coloring canon characters according to my headcanon. Because I like to keep the theme of my headcanon consistent in all of my art, including the prints and collaborations, this is a needed thing. o3o

-If a traditional artist, you must be willing to either color on cardstock printing paper (if you choose to print the lineart), or be willing to mail the original back to me if we go with the shipping back-and-forth option.

-YOU MUST HAVE A PAYPAL. This is absolutely mandatory because, just in case you can't go to the con I attend and vice versa, we will still be able to send each other the appropriate cuts from the sales on our collab print(s)

-You must be willing to submit yourself to a line-colored test. This is primarily because, despite how great you are at art, your style and my own may not mesh well. It rarely happens, but every now and then it actually does, so it's just a precaution on both our parts. This part of the application will come later, so please do NOT color anything from my gallery. I will be providing the lineart available for coloring at a later date.

If you are okay with the stated requirements above, then this is how you apply if you are interested:

Either send me a note with the title "collab partner" or just comment below with a link to both your gallery and at least 2 colored works you are very proud of. You don't have to have prior experience in collaborations to drop your name here, so if you want to at least try feel more than free to do so! You can tell me why your interested if you'd like, but it's certainly not mandatory. But, if you are going to be attending a con I would like to know. o3o

Applications will be open from today to 2/21/15, and after the given date they will be closed. From the applications I will narrow the choice down to about 6-10 separate people whom I think would fit my own style the best, and those chosen folks will be given the lineart for the second part of the application: the color test. From that test, I will choose the 2 or 3 people that will be my collab partners for this year's Bronycon. :3

And I think that's it? So if you have any questions feel more than free to ask me. And thank you all for reading! ^.^
