The Apple Gals

After I uploaded the boys, simply had to put in the gals of Ponyville's Apple family! c:

Like the previous one, I already had this one drawn up like a week ago, but I'ma go ahead and post it up as a "filler" until my finals are over. O:

So, this is also a size/appearance comparison, this time of Applejack, young/preteen Applejack, Applebloom, Granny "Agetha" Smith, and Peach Velvet, my version of the Apple Siblings' mother. When she's in her prime, Applejack stands taller than what her mother was, but her younger self was kinda scrawny, just like Lil Mac. The Apple Family seems to have a thing for late growth-spurts. O.O

Have I mentioned I love drawing foals? Their awkwardly long legs are just so freakin' cute. xD

Anywho... AJ has a good balance between inheriting the looks from her father and mother, but AB takes after Peach Velvet the most in terms of facial features and body structure. She has her father's colors, though.

Soo... yep! Let's talk about my version of Peach Velvet! I have the headcanon that she's possibly the youngest sister of the Oranges (AJ's aunt and uncle) but, instead of obtaining an orange for a cutie mark, her's is a heart-shaped peach. She's playful, very easy-going, and all kinds of a flirt. It's mostly only playful and harmless, though. At least, until she met good ol' Hard Cider, one of the only stallions who barely batted an eye when he first met her.

Granny Smith grew to like the mare when she saw how her being around Hard Cider softened him considerably. That, and she provided the old matriarch with three amazing grandfoals. C:

As for Granny Smith, peeps have been asking where her husband was. He isn't featured with the "Apple Fellas" because, in my headcanon, he abandons his family and leaves Granny Smith to raise their three foals all by herself. It's one of the reasons why Hard Cider's so no-nonsense and business-like; as the oldest, he was literally the "stallion of the house" and took up responsibilities in order to help his mother run the farm.
