Preview: The Zebricans

Another preview of Requiem, this time of another country aside from Equestria. :3 This one features a few from Zebrica (name parodied from Africa, obviously).

So, about this particular country in the Requiem AU:

Zebrica is a country that sits in-between Collambia and Saddle Arabia, all of which are oversea neighbors of Equestria. Like Equestria, this land has a widely diverse range of sapient inhabitants, but the majority of them are zebra, antelope, and wildebeests, along with elephants, rhinos, giraffes, and hippos. Their country is one that's filled with several tribes, but they all are ultimately branches of the strongest and smartest tribe (this being Zecora's tribe). Zecora herself is a high-standing zebra shaman of her tribe, so her words has a lot of weight to them.

As for the zebras themselves, in my headcanon I see them being sort of similar to ponies, but not quite. Like several sapient beings in this world, they would have some level of magic in them, but their magic is something of a hybrid between Earth Pony magic and a tad bit of Unicorn magic. As such, they can make excellent alchemists. The species itself, however, are a tad taller than the average pony and have skinnier legs. There are also Pegasus zebras and Unicorn zebras, but this occurs very rarely and these zebras are often considered mutants. The inheritance of a horn or wings becomes more likely if the zebra in question is a hybrid, or in other words, had a pony parent.

Now, for the characters featured:

-Zecora, Shaman and renowned representative of Zebrica and, as such, met the Princesses on several occasions. She's doesn't differ all that much from the cannon Zecora, aside from occasionally breaking her tendency to rhyme when she's getting extremely serious. While not big, she plays a relatively important role in the story, so expect to see her. :3

-Meshindi, zebra leader of the band of warriors sent to aid Collambia in their war. Serious, cynical, and strong, he's a damn good soldier, but not that much of a good leader. (personality may change) I don't think he'd have that big of a role in the story, but I wanted to show off what a soldier from Zebrica could look like. His warrior garb is loosely based off of the Zulu.

-Cebile, Gerenuk antelope doe whom is often considered royalty (considering she's the chief's niece, it could be true). Probably won't show up in Requiem, but if all goes well, she WILL end up being featured in short-stories that follow up Requiem. Spoiled, very self-loving, and a bit of a diva, but she doesn't really mean any harm. She's mostly shown here to give you guys an example of the other inhabitants of Zebrica. She currently has ceremonial paint on.
