I just... I just couldn't resist! D:
I already did one set of siblings, so I figured, "not draw them all? >8D" So now, I'm planning on drawing the Mane 6 with their siblings, with the exception of Rainbow Dash being the surrogate sibling of Scootaloo and Fluttershy with Angel Bunny... actually, I may just throw Fluttershy in with RD and Scoots, because Flutter and RD act a lot like sisters to me.
ANYWAY! Big Mac, Applebloom and Applejack, as they will appear in the story
and I are making, Requiem.
In my head-cannon, the Apple Family are known to be pretty physically impressive ponies; big, muscular and tall are all in the genes, although that's not to say EVERYONE related to the apple family will be big or muscular or tall. Anyway, Applejack and Big Macintosh are great examples of that, and Applebloom will too once she grows (she's already taller than some of the other foals in her class).
In this AU, The Apple Family are, by far, the most successful as far as the apple market goes. Their crops and apple-based foods are the most sought after, and due to the quality of said food it isn't surprising that the family has been catering for several important events. This is how Applejack initially met Twilight Sparkle's acquaintance; she, along with Pinkie Pie (for her excellent party planning and top-not dessert-based treats) worked together during one of the many ceremonies the unicorn had to attend.
Overall, their life is a steady and good one with a good amount of hard-work, but being a successful farm comes with risks. It isn't unknown for a bad pony, usually not native to Ponyville, to attempt to sabotage the family's farm, specifically their apple trees, and there have been instances where AJ and Big Mac had to protect their home with force. It's not only the more violent-inclined ponies they have to worry about, though; being close to the Everfree prompts some wild, dangerous animals to wander on their property, animals they have to drive away.
And finally, the need to fight bandits. The Apple Family tend to do the shipping themselves instead of having a company do it for them, and even the roads of peaceful Equestria is littered with danger from bandits and wild critters if one's not paying attention.
This is where they get the majority of their scars.
I had so much freakin' fun drawing them, especially Big Mac; I've always seen the big guy as extremely big and muscular and tall (nearly as tall as Celestia to give you guys an idea about how tall we're talkin'), and that he looks a part of the Shire breed of horses with those fuzzy hooves. Not only him, though; Applejack and Applebloom both have fuzzy hooves as well, and so does Granny Smith (I'ma draw her later o3o).
But, uh.... yeah. I don't think I have anything more to say, so please enjoy. C:
