Description
A lone angel, Aleta, sits in silence, a wry smile upon her lips as she entertains herself with bitter memories from her past.
Aleta literally means Winged.
This here is a small thumbnail sketch I did for another art project; we have to have images that has a continuous theme of some sort. I chose fantasy, but I may change it to make it more appropriate. :3
Anywho, this was done on 4" x 5" sized Bristol Vellum, something I always do when I want a small, but detailed image for a project or commission.
This image was just the brainchild of me listening to Sarah McLachlan. Love her music. Anyways, I got the urge to draw when I was listening to Fallen, and then it rained, and the urge grew into a full-blown idea, so..... yep. :3
I'm particularly happy with the way her hair came out; I usually can't make hair that looks like..... well, hair. Her face and hands came out better than expected too, since I was only giving it a rough look as a guideline. But then I began to define the lines and shade the skin and then... this happened.
I like it though. C:

HOLY FACHIZZLENIZZLEFRIZZLE! WOW.
I have got to say earthlyone, I love where this style evolution of yours is going. the semi-realism-ness is just gorgeous. I've said it before, but I like how all your characters are getting unique facial features and details. You are also one of the very few artists I know who can do lips, and have it still look good.
you are so awesome!
