MLP- Vigilant

"How's it looking, Rare?"

A swift scan over the street beyong my perch gives me the number crunch I'm looking for. "About only six of them, give or take. Most of them Crawlers it seems, a Buzzard's hovering about, and--"

To my credit, I barely flinch at the huge bang that was the result of a car being thrown nearly a block away. Of course, that's not to say it didn't startle me; my heart leapt for a split second before it dropped, and I groan.

"...There's also a Chrusher prowling about."

Twilight furrows her brows and crosses her arms, scowling in that funny way of hers as she thinks about what I've told her. "Mm... Rainbow Dash can handle getting to and from the gas station without much problem; she'd be too fast for the Crusher... but..."

"That's if she can do so without much notice. With the time it requires to fill the gas cans, I doubt that'd be the case."

"Agreed. I'd rather not have us brave the highway without that truck, but we can't stay here for too long either; we're far too vulnerable here. If we want the gas, we need that Crusher gone."

I don't say anything; I know she's looking at the rifle in my hands with a debatable expression, and I face forward to hide a knowing grin.

"...How many bullets do you have left for that thing?"

"Seven."

"You think you can take that Crusher out with that many?"

"That and more, darling. I can rid us of that Buzzard and a couple of Walkers as well with a bullet to spare."

Twilight nods in approval, uncrossing her arms. "Alright. When you're finished, come back downstairs; Pinkie has an idea of where we can get ammo while Dash and Fluttershy are filling the cans."

"Or I can accompany you on the way down."

"Huh?"

Without looking at her I take a quick sip of the cooling coffee I gained thanks to Applejack, shouldering my weapon of choice right after.

"I only need one minute."

This one is of Rarity. I'ma have to apologize for the somewhat lacking BG of Canterlot, there, but I didn't want to add too much detail to it. D: Ah well... I suppose it does it's purpose with hinting to you guys where the group is. :3


Anyhow, I'd think Rarity would be Vigilant.

Her sharp eye for detail makes her be able to pick up things the others may miss. What she can detect ranges from useful items to possible escape routes to even the emotions of the others, making her the go-to gal if one needs some sound advice. Her keen sight has allowed her to learn how to shoot long-ranged weapons relatively easily and she can spot threats from long distances away, making her a top-notch vigilante and often tasks herself at playing the lookout, determined to keep any possible threat away from the group at a relatively safe distance.

In the image, I had the idea to include just a light bit of her magic; I've always figured that, despite not being as apt to magic like Twilight, Rarity can utilize her own magic capability to its fullest. Hence the concept of using her magic to hoan in on targets and guide the bullet to its mark, so long as she has a general idea of where the target is. I'd figure she would be the one to teach Twi how to do this as well, and in turn, Twi can teach her how to hold a barrier or perhaps some defensive/offensive spells. c:
