Headcanon: Apple Bloom

Alrighty, next up on our list we have ourselves the country-filly, Apple Bloom! I had a blast coloring her, especially her eyes. Apple Bloom's eye color is just gorgeous, I just wanna call it "peach" 'cause of how the gradient reminds me of peaches. I love peaches. o3o

Okay but enough gushing. Headcanon time!

Among the CMC, I've headcanoned that AB will grow to be the tallest. At this point she's a little past the normal height of an Equestrian pony (which is 4'0 - 4'3 ft), but at the age of 15 she has yet to stop growing. She'll be around 4'7ft when she finally finishes growing; taller than the normal pony but still shorter than either of her siblings.

I made it so Apple Bloom inherited all of her colors from her father (except her eye color, that came from Granny Smith), however she's the one that looks the most like her mother in body build and facial structure. The bows she wears in her mane and tail actually belonged to her mother once (they were a gift her father made for the mare). The bandanna is just something she picked up later. Unlike her older siblings, Apple Bloom doesn't have prominent freckles, however she does still have them. They're faint and are dusted all across her muzzle and cheeks, and she has quite a few along the back of her neck, shoulders, and back. I gave her only one foot that would have the white "sock" her father has, and it's the back left leg. It's because of this that Applejack and her friends sometimes call her "Sugar-foot", since it looks like she dipped it in sugar. x3

AB at this point is still pretty reasonable and mature for her age, although she does goof up from time and again. She’s finally able to help out in the fields to buck apples, something she’d been dying for ever since she was a filly, but she also juggles it along with school and still running the CMC with Scoots, Babs, Sweetie Belle, and Spike (though he doesn't tag along all the time). With them being older and already having their cutie marks, their mission had shifted to helping young foals feel more comfortable in their skin and nurturing their talents, rather than doing missions for the sheer sake of hoping to gain a cutie mark (which they finally learned doesn’t work). It’s now more of a Big Sister/Brother, Little Sister/Brother club sort of thing. o3o

AB’s cutie mark is of a heart-shaped apple with a hammer behind it. It actually doesn’t have much to do with building, although she’s relatively good at that. What it does represent is her willingness to take on many things without fear of getting her hooves dirty, to jump headlong into an experiment or discovery confidently and at least give something new a try once. Especially with potions; she’s quite adept with them, thanks to Zecora and Twilight’s tutoring.
