Derpy and Doctor Whooves

Well well well. What do we have huurrrrrr? C:<

Okay no, seriously, I've gotten so many people asking whether or not I was going to draw these two. And quite honestly, it's been long overdue for me to draw them, soooo... I did. o3o

Doctor Whooves/Time Turner, and Derpy Hooves/Ditzy Doo! They were both a lot of fun to draw, but as the title suggests, they aren't finished. The both of them are going to be colored soon enough, and once that happens they will be available to buy for those who'd like the original sketches of the two of them.

So, a little bit about the two here.

I very loosely based Doctor Whooves (otherwise known as Time Turner) on the appearance of the Tenth Doctor. I actually haven’t gotten around to watching the show itself (gonna do so soon though; havin’ a marathon with some friends at some point), but I know who David Tennant is, and Time Turner actually sorta-kinda-maybe looks like he was inspired by that particular doctor. So I scruffed him up a bit and made him tall. But, I have a feeling that Time Turner is actually a separate doctor, so while he’s vaguely based off of the Tenth Doctor, he isn’t actually that doctor. *shrugs* WHATEVER. I just love his design, okay? It’s cute.  >:C

But Doc here, I see him as pretty upbeat and eccentric, someone who isn't afraid to speak to you and often has a smile on his face. He's pretty quirky, and many sell him off as an eccentric stallion who's pretty damn smart. But, there's more to him than many ever really know about, one of the few being Derpy (who I ship him with hardcore, man. ;_;  )

And then of course, Derpy! I've always seen her as having moderately lengthed mane and an even longer tail, as well as short but elegant wings. She's a tiny bit smaller than what the average height is for a mare, but that only makes her more of a small bundle of affection and happiness. I think she'd be the type to be smiling a lot, however she's kind of laid back despite her tendency to blurt out something if she's excited (especially if it's muffins). She's something of a daydreamer but is pretty intelligent, at least moreso than what others give her credit for, as well as a hardworker that doesn't let much discourage her from doing what she needs to do.

Due to her eyes, she had been the target of bullying for most of her life. The teasing and scornful comments do hurt, yes, but she's learned how to take most of it in stride and simply ignore it, although it does get hard sometimes. Thankfully, in Ponyville many of the citizens there don't care much about how her eyes are. They see her for who she is, and it often puts a smile on their faces when she delivers their mail or interact with her in general, regardless of how clumsy she can be.

In my headcanon, Derpy is the birth-mother of Dinky, and the adoptive mother of Sparkler.

I actually have quite a bit of headcanon for these two, especially regarding Derpy's history and how Doctor Whooves plays into that, but I won't go into it right now. I'll do so once I finish coloring them.
